Writing Groups and Mentorships

Zoë wants to come twice a week like Ollie, she loved it so much in person, and then Ollie left the session tonight and said he wants to cancel everything else he does and just go there every night!

INKLING GROUPS

In Carlton and Online

Small creative writing classes, perfect for inspiring imagination, equipping young writers with practical writing tools and techniques and providing a fun, supportive environment where young writers can explore!

Young writers are matched to groups according to their age, interests and skill level and are mentored by a practising writer. In their weekly Inkling Group, young writers journey into the craft of story; receiving written and verbal feedback on their work, bouncing around ideas, drawing on examples from literature and screen and putting the tools and techniques acquired through prompts and lessons into practice as they develop their own stories. Inkling Groups are fun, full of discussion and creativity, and are the perfect place to be inspired, develop a strong understanding of the craft of story and hone their writing skills. Young writers will develop confidence in their ideas, deepen their ability to express themselves through story, and connect with a community of other writers. Sessions run after school and on Saturdays with the option of joining us during the day. Free trials welcome at any time where there are appropriate groups with availability.
